There have been studies conducted using 2 groups of OBESE people. Each group kept their normal diet and activity and the treatment group (group given CLA) lost significantly more weight that the control.
However, studies in supplementation of CLA for wieght loss in "normal" weight people have not been conclusive. Studies suggest it is more effective in those severely overweight.
CLA does offer many health benefits other than weight loss.

There is a reason the diet industry makes billions a year… these sorts of things only work short term or not at all. There is one way to be sure you get unfat:
Diet – portion control/all natural foods
Weight Lifting – 45 minutes, 4 days a week
Cardio – 1 hour, 6 days a week

I have been able to work with weights now that I am in high school, and I want to learn which supplements to take. I want to take only natural things and stay away from anything like steriods. No way am I gonna mess myself up. Anybody have any advice?
