I’m a 21 year old, about 5’8”, and weight 220lbs. I need a good work out routine that will help drop weight, mainly belly fat. I can no longer use treadmills due to knee injuries, so I use the ellipticals. what would be a good routine that will give good results. Also what are the best things to eat while going though this routine?

Almonds are good to eat before or after your workout. Drink loads of water. The trainer at the gym I go to has people do the elliptical for like 10 minutes and then weights and then back for 10 minutes, etc, etc. Eek, that sounds like no fun to me. I would start out at 15-20, whatever you can do. Work up to about 45 minutes a session. Do twists like with a broom or someting, those are super for tummy. Eat more fruits and veggies! Try to cut out dairy, you’ll lose a ton.

So I don’t understand this whole plateau thing.
Isn’t weight loss about burning off more calories than you consume?
I walk for hours a day and cut my eating habits but I haven’t seen any changes at all even though I know I have a calorie deficit of quite a bit.
By the way I think it might be a plateau because:

Two years ago I used to weigh 300 pounds.
By not adjusting my diet at all and walking every day I now way 240.
Now that I am watching my diet and eating less and healthy, I’m not seeing any changes. Should I try to walk even MORE?
Because I don’t think 4-5 hours of walking a day is possible.
I also ONLY drink water, and eat fruits and vegetables and some vitamin water when possible. Isn’t this all prime weight loss conditions?

no not prime

go jogging, walking is better than nothing, but jogging is much better for losing fat than walking ( burns many more calories )

1/2 hour of jogging is better than 2 hours of walking

I’m running and walking on the treadmill daily for weight loss.

I’m trying to determine how much of chicken breast is good for me. so, one of them seems to have about 4.5g fat.

how much is the healthiest fat intake?

The main thing you should worry about is calories. There are lots of diet websites that show you how many calories you should be eating a day to lose the weight. try http://www.fitday.com/

i have been hitting the gym for the past year now really trying to add some mass. i am 6ft tall, and weigh 210lbs. i have about 15% body fat. i would like to start toning down. i have added 30 minutes cardio to each workout and my off days. i eat a very strict diet and have met with a dietician.

so what would be the best stack for me to really shed off my fat? i have been looking at the stacks from bodybuilding..com but none of them look right for me.

ps, i have to be able to pass a drug test lol.

depends on what your workout is like. there are fat burners out there, but you should first just up your exercising (30 minutes a day on your off day isn’t enough).
