It is often said that weight loss of 500g – 1kg a week is good. However, i am more concerned about my waist size. Is there a guide of rate of loss (eg 1cm a week) so I know I am on the right track?
I have lost 5cm in 8 weeks but these past 2 weeks my waist has stayed the same.
PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT talking about spot reduction. Just simple fat loss.
Exercise + healthy diet = fat loss right? So how long will it take for my belly fat to reduce through this process?
SOME MORE CLARIFICATION: I am not talking about pounds or kilos but inches and centimeters.

I already know how to lose weight. Just wanted to know the answer to the above question.

How many times do we hear from some overweight people that "they have tried everything" to lose weight but nothing works?
Yet these people have *never* tried missing a meal every so often or at least reducing their portions or giving up sugar and fattening foods,.,.
Losing weight is simplicity itself: eat less and burn more.

weider global nutritions is a brand name, and ‘fat burners’ is the name of product

Weider’s "Fat Burner" is a metabolism booster – there are many many other brands that produce very similar products. This product is a combination of:

Chromium Picolinate – which helps your body metabolize stored body fat.

Green Tea Extract – raises your body’s metabolism and makes it less likely to store fat. (Though you could just stop drinking carbonated beverages and drink only Green Tea and get the same benifit – probably for less money.)

Caffeine and Kola Nut – again, this will raise your body’s metabolism. Obviously you will want to take this first thing in the morning and not late at night otherwise you will not sleep well.

Cinnamon and Cayenne – a little extra spice I guess. I’m not convinced that either of these will really help that much. But the those who eat spicy food do have a higher metabolism and burn fat more easily (so I have heard.)

Like I said, there are many brands out there that offer similar combinations. So feel free to shop around and try other products too.

Does it require you to keep a food journal. It says that people who kept one lost twice the weight.

Also, how long does it last? Does it generate a menu for you EVERY 11 days, or do you have to purchase another one at the end of the 11 day period?

And which one is the best to buy? Package 1 or Package 2???

Package #1: Includes The Fat Loss 4 Dummies On-line Diet Generator & Diet Handbook for just $39. This is the basic system that’s designed to help you lose 9 lbs in only 11 days, without having to buy expensive prepackaged foods or go to embarrassing meetings like some diet plans. And that’s a one time cost!

Package #2: Includes The Fat Loss 4 Dummies On-line Diet Generator & Diet Handbook , PLUS "Beyond Calories", For Just an extra $16.95!
What is Beyond Calories? Beyond Calories reveals a different way to lose weight using H. S. FOODS — and a few other Dieting Tricks and Secrets. (You’ll learn about "H. S. FOODS" if you Add-On this product.) BC also shows how to increase your total number of meals while boosting weight loss, so you’ll lose even more. It’s considered a $37 but when added to the Diet Generator is just $16.95 extra, as part of Package #2 . . . which is what the majority of our readers purchase.

I want to go with #1 cause I don’t want that extra $16 I don’t have it right now. Does that mean I wont loose the weight?

Thanks for all you help! It is GREATLY appreciated. :)
This is one of a hundred sites on this diet. EVERYONE says it works, and I just found out the $27 is for 90days!! WAY CHEAP! That is great and I am serious about starting tomorrow.

I just want info about THIS diet please. Thanks for the tips but I have already purchased this and I just need info on ..this..diet

Fad diets never work. They result in a yo-yo pattern of weight loss and weight gain and you end up heavier and less healthy than when you start.

If you are serious about weight loss, you should check out a book by Dr. Dean Ornish. He is a heart specialist who promotes a very healthy life style change. I follow a more extreme regime eliminating the following from my diet, and I’ve never felt better:

Salt
Sugar and sugar substitutes
All sodas including diet
Coffee including decaf coffee
Refined carbohydrates including white bread and white rice
Meat
Fish
All oils (including the good kind except for fish oil tablets)
Dairy products
Egg yokes (Egg whites are pure protein and very good)
Alcohol (all)

You must read labels carefully, because low fat foots often have sugar. Low sugar foods often add fats. Salt is pervasive in canned and frozen products. You are better off just avoiding restaurant foods and "corporate foods" that are preprocessed. Just eat vegitables, beans, brown rice, tofu, fruit, and other healthy foods. You will learn to love the taste of fresh foods without added salt and fat. The result is a life-long pattern of eating that prevents cancers, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. The pay off is that you feel better after just a week, although you may feel lousy the first couple days. Dean Ornish has a less severe dietary recommendation, however, I found going to the extreme to be easier to follow. This is a life-long change.

In addition, after a week of a healthy diet, you will want to ease into an aerobic exercise program that will lead to one hour of aerobic exercise five days per week. Look up aerobic exercise for more information.

Finally, it is extremely important that you get adequate sleep of 8-9 hours per day. If you are not sleeping deeply, you need to find out why, because lack of sleep can cause a ravenous apetite. (Research Sleep Apnea for details and check with your housemates to see if you are snoring. That’s one symptom of sleep apnea, but you will never hear your own snores.)

I’m 21 and recommended heart rate for fat loss purposes while exercizing is 120-160. When I use eliptical it’s usually somewhwre in between 180-190. Does it mean that I just burn more calories or what?
Please explain

That’s what’s called the fat burning myth.

It is true that main source of energy at 60% of heart rate max is fat. That is the only fact in the myth. But these BS con-artists are full of closure. What they don’t tell you is that when you are working at 80-90% of heart rate your metabolic rate will skyrocket for the next 24 hours. You will burn more TOTAL calories at 80-90% of heart rate max vs. 60%, but the main source of energy will be carbohydrates as opposed to fat (the body is more efficient at burning up carbohydrates for energy). The key is that the 24 hrs. following that intense workout, your overall metabolic rate will increase and you’ll be burning more calories (lyposis will increase as well and you’ll be burning up those subcutaneous fat stores) while sleeping, sitting, watching tv. ,etc.

Go to wikipedia and look up ‘high intensity interval training’. One of the links at the bottom of the article is to a journal article that makes reference to this.

Keep it up!

I have heard so many people say it burns fat. I don’t believe that that is possible. Am I wrong?

How is green tea good for you in weight loss?

Green tea is a healthy tea drink and has some antioxidants in it that can help get rid of free radicals in your body, but I don’t think there’s any evidence it helps with burning fat.

If you want to learn how to burn fat, here’s a site that may help you out:
