I’m a female 28 yrs old, 5’6" currently @ 155 lbs and trying to get my pre-baby body back!
I work out 5 days a week; including once a week with a trainer. I’m very healthy with no food or physical restrictions.
According to a health websites calculator, it says the following should be done for my fat, protein, carbs and calorie intake;
Calories – 1,359 cals
Carbs – 186 grams (@ 55% from calories)
Proteins – 51 grams (@ 15% from calories)
Fats – 42 grams (@ 30% from calories)
Does this sound right? The fat loss I want is at 2 pounds per week AT MOST. So, help! It seems kind of low to me, that’s why I’m posting this.
Thanks!
Here’s the 40-30-30 ratio. Sound better?
Carbs – 136 grams (40%)
Proteins – 102 grams (30%)
Fats – 46 grams (30%)

I just got home from a 10-day trip yesterday, and noticed that one of my female rats has a patch of fur under her head (her neck) that isn’t there. It doesn’t look irritated or infected, just plain skin. There is also a patch missing on her left front leg. She lives with one other female which is very sweet. I also noticed that she looked a lot bigger, or fatter. Does anybody know why she is missing this fur?
My rat is only about a year old, so would it be likely that it is a tumor this early in her life?
She’s most likely sick. I aam a hamster pro and this has happend to me before. My hamster had a patch of hair missing and she had a tumor. Please take your rat to the vet immediatly.

I’m a beginner at this heart-rate monitoring thing so I’m trying to do research on what would be more effective for me.
What I have come to understand about these 2 zones is: Exercise in the fat burning zone to burn more fat, or exercise in the cardio zone to burn more carbs. So I am confused. For a 30 yr old female trying to lose a lot of weight, what should be my goal – fat burning or carb burning?
Well, workout at lower intensity to burn off more fat as the slower tempo and longer duration work for fat since fat is a slow burning fuel….
After 20 minutes or so of workout, fat would be the primary source of energy you burn and you would burn more fat than glucose (or carbs).
However, you also burn fewer total calories and less total fat.
That would not be good for you since you want to lose weight. So, to maximize fat burning for weight loss, it’s better to workout at higher intensity as the total calories you burn would be higher.
In weight loss, what matters is how many calories you burn, not so much whether they’re fat or carbohydrate calories.

Yes..any excessive weight gain or loss can cause missed periods. But to be on the safe side, check with your doctor to make sure it is not something else.
